Too long for Twitter. There's an interesting (for baseball nerds) report on jet lag on Gizmodo (here).
But the part I like most was the picture that accompanied the post. Not just because it explains, in part, how a guy listed at 6'3", 155 lbs throws in the upper 90s (much more baseball nerd stuff about Edwards here) but it spurred memories about how much fun it was to watch him in the 10th inning of Game 7. You could almost read his thoughts. Unafraid kid comes in, and starts throwing darts. Gets two outs as he starts to realize just how huge this trip to the mound is, and starts overthinking it. Maddon makes his second good pitching move of the game (both in the 10th) and calls in Montgomery who only had to get ahead on his first pitch to induce Martinez to rollover on his second pitch and produce a (nearly too) weak grounder for Bryant.
Second best inning of baseball I've ever seen, and the best at the MLB level.
Less than a month until pitchers and catchers report ...
